What's up with the mirrors tonight? I have tried updates on several machines and I am getting timeouts with almost every package. After hitting 'retry' they seem to connect and download, but hitting 'retry' for every package download is painful.
Anyone else seeing this?
yes. Probably an outage on a very active mirror jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://valerie.dodin.org http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-eic8MSSfM http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1412160445 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Thanks jdd, At least I know I hadn't done something goofy with my update config. I ended up just specifying and individual mirror and it got it working again. Thanks. -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. I know, it is a little late now, 10 days after, but in case of such problems it is generally best if you contact me at the address below. This will allow me to solve the root of the problem, which will be beneficial for thousands of users out there who might be affected as well. Only by knowing about such a problem, I can do something about it :^} Peter -- Contact: admin@opensuse.org (a.k.a. ftpadmin@suse.com) #opensuse-mirrors on freenode.net Info: http://en.opensuse.org/Mirror_Infrastructure SUSE LINUX Products GmbH Research & Development -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
