Hi, everyone! Just wondering if anyone was successful with WINE. I can launch some programs but can do nothing with them: can't open/save files, or can't create a folder for example. Any info or pointers are cool, Thanks, alexm - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
Wine is still under early production. There is a lot of things that can't be done with it... On 30-Jul-98 alexm wrote:

This was my first experience as well. It turns out that you have to install StarOffice while logged in as the user who is going to be running it, not as root. I know this sounds strange since usually you _must_ be root when installing software. There is an alternate method of install - network install, that will allow StarOffice to be used by more than one account (see the readme or install files). -Ben -- "You can lead a horse to water...but by the time you got there you would smell like a horse and your butt would hurt." - Dogbert - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
