Hello, I'm trying to make a snapshot of a window bigger than the screen. But it doesn't show up complete, ksnapshot shows only the content of the current screen with a black border (the black border is where the window is bigger than the screen. The commandline xwd utility only dumps the current screen. It seems impossible to get the window contents completely including the 'off screen area's' . . . Any suggestions ?? Have you tried 'import' from the command line? Very flexible tool.

Ksnapshot works for me in 8.2. I just did this today: http://members.ij.net/mrmazda/ss/inherit-comparo.png I had virtual set to 2000 wide, maximized Mozilla, then cropped to the 1600+ wide result you see after first saving with Ksnapshot. -- "Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity." Well, perhaps my problem is that i tried to make a snapshot of a applet running in a (approx) 2000x1000 window, perhaps the applet didn't fill the complete window. . . Oooh, wait no, i just tried it by enlarging the 'kmail' window, it only shows the lower right that i had visible !! (I am using SuseV8.0 here). Well, thanks for the reply ! -- 01110111 01110111 01110111 00101110 01110000 01110010 01110101 01101001 01101101 01100010 01101111 01101111 01101101 00101110 01110100 01101011 <End of message>
