I tried to setup X using the new Xfree86 4.2.0 servers and sax2 latest update from the ftp server. I had X working fine w/ Xfree86 4.1.0. Now it keeps defaulting to 50-68 vert sync, when my monitor does 50-90 vert sync @ 60hz refresh. I got Xfree86 4.2.0 by changing the config file by hand, but now Xfine does not work and the screen is partially of the monitor on the right side. (I use this monitor for two PC's. So I cannot just use the dial to move the screen over.) NeoFax

Hello NeoFax, Have you tried running sax2 again to reconfigure your settings? Sometimes that is required for the new software to work correctly. You may even want to delete or move your old XF86config file so there are no previous settings involved. This way sax2 can reread your hardware.
