[SuSE Linux] Hylafax setup
Does anyone have experience with setting up hylafax?? I have read most of the docs from the web site and my hard drive. A lot of it needs work. I have the server running, but it never sends the fax. I would like to be able to force it to dial the modem so I can tell if it is even able to do so. thanks mc - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e

Only experience I have is that I gave up after about 1 fruitless day of trying to get susefax and hylafax to work here. I instead discovered a little program called efax, tefax, and xfax. I managed to get efax working after about 15 minutes. xfax took a bit longer; but it works now. tefax is a elm-based front end to efax. All of these are at sunsite.unc.edu. BTW, efax can be used in automatic mode to receive faxes as well. There are detailed instructions in the efax README about setting up efax this way. The man pages are quite useful also. -- Michael Perry mperry@basin.com ------------------ - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
