I've set up TrueType fonts in my system and they seem to be working correctly. In particular, Netscape can see them. However, I have a problem with certain Web pages that explicitly specify TrueType fonts: the fonts come out very small. I can tell that I'm getting the correct font; it's just the size that's wrong. Since these are neither the variable font nor the fixed font specified in Netscape Preferences, I don't see an obvious way to control the size (they are document-specific fonts). Following a suggestion in the Font Deuglification Mini-Howto, I tried starting X with the option `-dpi 100'. It made no difference. My installation is based on xfsft, not xfstt. Any ideas? houldn't make any difference, since you take the fonts from a front server and netscape won't care were it comes from. xfstt will serve only TTF's xfsft the others as well...
yep. some. ;-) Edit --> Prefferences --> Appearence --+ Fonts There is a little checkbox titled: "Sometimes a dokument will provide it's own fonts" check the last box: "Use Document specified fonts, incl. dynamic fonts" This should get you there. A link to test CSS pages: http://www.microsoft.com/typography/css/gallery/slide2b.htm yes, I know. It's the dark and evil empire. The page shows different font in different (big) sizes. YOU NEED TO HAVE THESE FONTS INSTALLED!! Edit->Preferences->Appearances->Fonts Click on Allow Scaling for both. Also, I have "Use my default fonts" selected as well. Good luck George
