I lost my directory containing the kernel I compiled for SuSE64 which includes the .config file. Is there anyway to find out what my settings were. In other words, is there a way to get that file back? Try make cloneconfig. Works with the 2.2.14 and 2.2.16 kernels.

I believe that cloneconfig is part of the suse modified kernel source, not the source downloaded from ftp.kernel.org. At least I've never seen it in the standard kernel sources.
That's correct - but it's neat, isn't it ? LenZ -- ------------------------------------------------------------------ Lenz Grimmer SuSE GmbH mailto:grimmer@suse.de Schanzaeckerstr. 10 http://www.suse.de/~grimmer/ 90443 Nuernberg, Germany There's never a cop around when you need one.
