It's how it's supposed to be. The purge-kernels service was broken for some time, but with the latest snapshot a purge-kernels-service package provides it again.

..... If you don't have the package yet, you can also run zypper purge-kernels

It used to be that if you zypper'd in a new kernel they just accumulated until you did an explicit 'purge_kernels'. Now the purge seems to happen automagically with no manual intervention and no adjustment to zypp.conf to make it happen. -- A: Yes. > Q: Are you sure? >> A: Because it reverses the logical flow of conversation. >>> Q: Why is top posting frowned upon? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

systemctl status purge-kernels.service This is something that starts at boot time and cleans up kernels that are not allowed to be there according to the settings in the file /etc/zypp/zypp.conf. This exists on SLES and on Leap. For ages. -- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

And was broken in TW. For months. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
