Thanks for answering, Steve. Ok, so I'll wait ;-) Can you give me a hint what I should be looking for, please? (Just typing "qt" in Yast gives a lot of packages, and I have to scroll to the side and compare version-numbers to see if there's something newer, because the icons are not shown... Is this a matter of days or weeks...? Is there eventually something I could compile myself - or should I better not (as an almost-newbie)? regards Daniel -- Daniel Bauer photographer Basel Switzerland professional photography: http://www.daniel-bauer.com special interest site: http://www.bauer-nudes.com

qt3-3.3.6-119.1.i586.rpm or qt3-3.3.6-119.1.x86_64.rpm (or greater revision).
Is this a matter of days or weeks...?
Should become available tomorrow once all packages are rebuilt against it.

Great, the new packages seem to be there already! Thank you, Stephan. The icons on the desktop appear perfect, but in the "Kontrolleiste" (task bar?) some Icons are still missing (like kdewallet just shows a paper symbol with "?", and when I drag an application to the "Kontrolleiste" (like e.g. SeaMonkey) it's icon gets replaced by KDE's standard gearwheel. And then the screensaver doesn't start anymore... I haven't changed anything there, but doublechecked that "automatic start" still is checked ??? Can you (or somebody else) direct me to where I should start searching for a solution? regards Daniel -- Daniel Bauer photographer Basel Switzerland professional photography: http://www.daniel-bauer.com special interest site: http://www.bauer-nudes.com -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

Perhaps your $HOME/.kde directory is the problem. Maybe there is something there from older versions that is causing confusion. Try using a fresh one from login. -- Roger Oberholtzer OPQ Systems AB Ramböll Sverige AB Kapellgränd 7 P.O. I tried, but the Screensaver still doesn't start and The icons for e.g. kdewallet in the systems tray disappear as soon as I change the "symbols" in KDE control center to any one. (they don't reappear after logging out an in again, too). (To test, I logged out as user, in as root, renamed .kde to .kde.saved, logged in as user again) The other symbols in the "Kontrolleiste" work after log out/in (even with old .kde). any more hints, please? thanks Daniel -- Daniel Bauer photographer Basel Switzerland professional photography: http://www.daniel-bauer.com special interest site: http://www.bauer-nudes.com -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

What do you mean with that? You change the icon theme? Bye, Steve -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

Yes. I guess, that's the name of it. (in my german install: KDE control center->Erscheinungsbild->Symbole) When I delete the ~/.kde folder and then log in as user, a new default desktop (without all my settings, of course) appears and all the icons in the systems tray are there. (I hope it's "system tray": I mean the right part of the "Kontrolleiste"). When I choose any of the "Symboldesign" in control center, the icons of KPowersave and kdewallet get replaced by a paper symbol with a "?"; the one for kdewallet slightly larger (an unsharp) than the one for KPowersave. I prefer "KDE Classic" but this happens, no matter which "Symboldesign" I choose. The icons for KMix and Klipper remain intact. With "they don't reappear" I wanted to say, that the "real" icons still are "lost" (and replaced by the "'?-paper") even when I terminate the session and then log in again. No, it does not... I just added a new user and, to be sure, rebooted and logged in as this new user, then did nothing except clicking away the welcome message and the "daily hint", then waited... Sreensaver doesn't start. (After waiting I checked, if the screensaver was set to start automatically, and it was set to "random" and to start after 4 minutes). Same problem on 10.1 with 3.3.5 here. Even after I removed the .kde directory from another local user. Now it needs someone to open a report at https://bugzilla.novell.com so all information can be gathered at a central place instead of five threads.. ;-) Bye, Steve -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
