OK. I'm now thoroughly confused. I've been trying to figure out the simplest procedure for downloading "stuff" from the SuSE web site and then installing it. For example, it appears to me that YAST should be able to manage an RPM package just like the packages that came with the distro. But can I just download the package to the same directory as the other packages or do I have to somehow "install" them so that YAST can find them? My first attempt was to download KDE for SUSE LINUX 8.2 (i386), kdebase3 http://www.suse.com/us/private/download/linuks/i386/update_for_8_2/base.html Mozilla wanted to know where to download the file to. A very reasonable question but I have no idea where I am supposed to download it to. If someone has the time and inclination, could you start with the link above and explain to me how I get the package downloaded and installed? (It would be nice if SuSE would put this on their web site, wouldn't it?) Thanks for any assistance. Don Henson
