Folks, Is there any way to shut off the funky little icons that appear next to the cursor in KDE when a program starts? Perhaps it was the late hour, but when I combed the documentation for clues last night, I found no help. (KDE on SuSE 9.0) Best, Pete. -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peter N. It's in the Control Centre under Appearance & Themes > Launch Feedback in 8.2, should be same place (or similar) HTH Dylan -- Sweet moderation Heart of this nation Desert us not We are between the wars - Billy Bragg

I'm not on KDE at the moment but I believe those icons are called program notifications, application notifications, or something like that. I think the idea is that you have some indication that an application is loading. I also think there's a place to turn them on/off in KDE Configuration. Don Henson
