[opensuse] Anybody had any luck installing Speakup on OpenSuse?
Hi guys, I have finally gotten OpenSuse to work, and I like it; takes some getting used to, but I'm learning every day. I was wondering, has anyone attempted an install of Speakup? I ask because at the moment, I am limited to what I can access in Gnome, and in any other console environment, I have no text-to-speech output. I have searched and searched for this, and the only document I could find with OpenSuse specifically in mind is one that doesn't seem to exist anymore. Have you guys come across anything? Something that maybe I missed? Thanks. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Google yields Festival. Don't know if it's in the OpenSuse system--PCLOS has it in the repos. The version there has an American male speaker available, and some others. --doug -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
