Hello: I am trying to get Free86 to work with my new Diamond Fire GL 1000 card. I am running redhat 4.2 and could not get the monitor to sync with the version of Free86 that came with the system. So I heard about SuSE and downloaded The XSuSE_Elsa_Gloria server. I did exactly what the Installation notes on the link <A HREF="http://suse.de/Support/sdb_e/sndirsch_glint.html"><A HREF="http://suse.de/Support/sdb_e/sndirsch_glint.html</A">http://suse.de/Support/sdb_e/sndirsch_glint.html</A</A>> said to do. However the monitor still does not sync. Does anyone have Linux running this server working? If so, can you help me to properly configure it so that my monitor syncs?? I have a Hitachi SuperScan Supreme 803 Monitor with a Horizontal Sync range of 31-115khz and a vertical sync of 50-160hz. The board is capable of 31.5-111.1 khz horzontal and 60-120Hz vertical with a dot rate of 230Mhz RAMDAC, If this server cannot be configured to work with a Fire GL 1000 Then does anyone know of one that can???
