Does anyone provide experimental auto{conf|make} like Mantel does kernels?
Do any of the suse-people have "experimental" or non-official packages for things like automake & autoconf, similar to the way Mantel has kernel packages, and aj has gcc packages? I would thing so because SuSE is so involved in KDE, but I don't have time to look in every subdirectory of /pub/people :-D -- ---------------------------------------------------- Jonathan Wilson System Administrator Cedar Creek Software http://www.cedarcreeksoftware.com

No. Now how do I know....?

Retrieve the file suse-people from: ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/apt/share/suse81/cache/suse-people This file is the 8.1 rpm content list of the suse-people directory Now grep for autoconf/automake in that file => there is no package listed. For 8.0 there is one: ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/apt/share/suse80/cache/suse-people ftp.suse.com/people/ke/8.0-i386/autoconf.rpm;autoconf-2.53-85.i386.rpm So the directory to monitor is: people/ke -- Richard
