SuSE 8.1 - Gnome2 adding own menu?

Hi, I have just installed SuSE 8.1. GNOME2 seems to be much faster and smoother, but I really miss some sawfish functionality. :-( In Gnome 1.4 I had a favourites menu with my own apps an slaunchers, etc. Now I wan to create my own menu again for GNOME2. I looked in the GNOME2 manual and it seems that you have to use nautilus and add a folder to the Applications folder. I can add the folder, but I cannot give it a name. It just stays 'untitled folder' even after I rename it. Has anyone had the same problem?
