Do you know which package it is in? I searched for it on sunsite and the LSM but it didn't show up.

Sorry, the program itself is called script, typescript is the default output file. Last I needed it, I was using SuSE6.0 and I didn't have to go looking for it, as it was already installed. It should still be in the default installation. Afterall, it is one of the most useful little programs. It is simply great for making a record of compile errors.
