[opensuse] Extracting virtual machines from VMWare player
Is there a way to extract a virtual machine onto a "real" machine? I have a nice setup for a installation server that i want to make permanent and stand alone. Right now its hosted via VMWare Player. Is there anyway to transfer the image onto a hard drive and make it bootable? -- /Rikard Johnels

Not familiar with vmplayer but the workstation lets you write to a local disk. Just tar it up on an external disk and then reinstall it. You'll have to make some adjustments for the new hardware. The paid version has a tool that does this. -- Collector of vintage computers http://www.ncf.ca/~ba600 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
