I had an app., that allowed me to access shared dirs on 'Bloze boxen. Sambia must be installed, but not configured.....it uses part of it. I can't remember the name of the app. 'Thought I'd saved it safe and sound in an archive, but apparently I didn't. I hope someone here knows what "it" is. Thanks, Fred -- -- ----/ / _ Fred A. I always use xfsamba. It's in the xfce package. regards Anders On Tuesday 18 September 2001 17.37, Fred A. Miller wrote:

Hello, Fred. Could you be talking about LinNeighbourhood ? This is a Linux equivalent to Network Neighbourhood in Windowsworld and allows you to browse machines and whatever shares they are offering. It also allows you to see hidden shares since no-one bothered to tell it not to show them. I think I last found it out on Freshmeat. You configure it to use the installed version of Samba, and then when you want to connect to a share, it simply invokes the right Samba commands and you're connected. Bye for now, Stuart. -----Original Message----- From: suse-linux-e-return-72706-stuart=yorkshirepudding.com@suse.com [mailto:suse-linux-e-return-72706-stuart=yorkshirepudding.com@suse.com]O n Behalf Of Fred A.
