[opensuse] Book menu question
Hi all, I have a dual boot system on my box, 12.1 & Win 7. When grub comes up I get a list of 12.1 and then Windows 1, 2, 3, & 4. How can I tell which windows number is the correct one to start Win 7? Also how can I change the list so that it is says something like "Windows 7" etc. Thanks! try it out? usually the first one works, but often the three of them give the same result. Windows 7 uses at least two and often three partitions, that's why there are three entries. The first one is usually a very smalll boot partition. You can edit the /boot/grub/menu.lst file. Simply comment out the lines that do not fit your needs. Be cautious: do not add any line in the middle. add at the end if you want. the default boot is given by the position number of the menu (counting from 0) jdd -- http://www.dodin.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
