Hi , Suse 9.1 ..I see no entry..like hdb=scsi .. in the grub stanza. Is this no longer required or should I add this myself? Thanks -- Johan Registered Linux User #330034 May this be a good day for learning

Although I cannot upgrade my suse 9 tp 9.1 I do have Fedora installed using the later kernel and I have to have hdc=scsi to get it to work...There has been quite a discussion on the Fedora list about this and although some can leave the line out others need it... -- Regards Ted Wager G3TPI Using Debian Linux

On my 9.1 installation, the scsi emulation has also been removed, because you can now burn CD's directly through the ATAPI or ATA interfaces. I am currently using the ATA interface. Works just as good as before. I suppose it all depends if the CD burner supports it or not. If you still want to use the scsi emoulation, you can add the "hdd=scsi", but I don't see the need if the ATA/ATAPI works. -- Andre Truter | Software Engineer | Registered Linux user #185282 ICQ #40935899 | AIM: trusoftzaf | http://www.trusoft.co.za ~ "Oh Bother!" said the Borg, "We assimilated the Pooh!" ~
