Hello everyone: Under windoze, HP had a really neat program (the software came bundles with the HP burner) for creating the paper insert for CD/DVD cases (including information on the spine). I know that Nero, under M$, has a similar program. I do remember using one under Linux but can't seem to find it. Does SuSE have a small, simple program that I can use to create these inserts? What I want to do is list the contents of the CD (for example, song titles and artists) plus put some information on the spine of the insert (i.e.: world's greatest vocals, why Tux is king). Any ideas or suggestions greatly appreciated. Cheers, Mike

If you're willing to use LaTeX there is a cd-cover class that generates tracklistings and other things semi-automatically by querying a CDDB server. Glabels, also included in the SuSE distribution (glabels-2.0.2-5), contains a very large library of label forms corresponding to commercially available blank labels as well as the ability to define your own label templates. To reply to Bryan's question about spines, there's at least one template ("Stomper PRO Spine: PRO CD Labels 2-up (CD spine only)") for CD/DVD jewel box spines. Randall Schulz

I see that there are some XML files in the glabels template directory. But if I try to open one in glabels, it refuses. What's the secret word? -- Roger Oberholtzer OPQ Systems AB

File -> New presents you with a selection box for 'Media Type' and 'Lable Type'. The xml files contain that data and are selected based on the 'Media Tyle' you indicate. You do not need to manually select the xml files, that operation is performed by the glabels binary automagically. -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2

In KDE you have Kover. It's located in multimedia cd/dvd tools.
