SCSI is universal, so platforms are mute as far that's concerned. LaCie is still making drives, but you could check out adaptec - they always have something to offer. Sincere thanks to all those who replied. Upon further followup I find that my SCSI technology is too old (SCSI2) and that today's SCSI devices (UltraSCSI2 and beyond) are just too expensive for a machine that is primarily for amusement.
