I did all what you say but I have two problems : Printing from win95 client is very slowly and in some time the printing don 't work anymore , only print ascii characters as if the driver for stcolor or epson (dot matrix) not work well. This works for me, but my printer is on the linux box:

Set up printer in YAST as stcolor set up samba log onto tcp/ip net with your win98 machine. If you can see the printer in network Neighbourhood so far so good. right click on printer (probably lp1) and say install... call it something like Samba Printer and print to it.
