[opensuse] Installing 11.4
Respected friends, On my Acer E-machines I have several times times installed, with different partitioning. It ended every time in a screen full of green bars. The same after a restart. In fail-save mode I could finish the installation, and in fail-save mode I can use the machine. During start I see on the screen the following remarkable lines: Starting syslog services blogd System console stolen at line 266! (in red) blogd Can not read from fd0: Input/output error With the same DVD I installed 11.4 on my Laptop. Any idea and suggestion how to solve this problem? The presence of those blogd messages indicates either you've not done your online updates yet, or that the fix for https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=642289 either didn't make it online yet or happened after you did updates. what video chip(s) do you have? -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive."
