Manage Perl Installation and Packages
Hello, I'm not very familar with maintaining a perl installation. I'm able to install modules from source, but how do I manage the whole perl installation? I'm looking for answers to the following questions: - How to identify the perl related files that were shipped with my SuSE Version? - How to identify modules installed later? - How to get hold of the packages dependencies? - How to update a package consistent? - How to remove a package? I already visited the CPAN homepage where I found a set of tools that surely will answer the questions above. But what is best practice and what is the easiest way? Every help welcome. Thanx and Regards Daniel

Get webmin-1.130 (a must for SuSE 9.0), search on http://freshmeat.net, couldn't be easier, login in via your browser, choose Others, then Perl modules. Dates and descriptions displayed, build, install, upgrade, uninstall. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce .... Hamradio G3VBV and keen Flyer Linux Only Shop.
