I wonder how many posts we'll receive from people that upgraded their kernel and sources and forgot to run mk_initrd and lilo , if thats what they use. Ken

Hopefully none, since the rpm postinstall script runs it automatically. It should work for most users

Hi, A lot of my work depends on kernel sources also. My YOU tells me that new kernel is there for update. But I shall need new sources also. How can I do that through YOU? When I updated the kernel via YOU it dl'ed 2 packages, the new athlon kernel and a new source kernel. I reboot, ran the nvidia installer, and voila! I think both are installed for consistency, compatiblility, and so the list and the devs do get flooded with a plethora of WTF now post. :) Cheers, Curtis. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2-rc1-SuSE (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+8XC2iqnGhdjCOJsRAmbPAJ4nRjpFpxnjrlrQVjpICc66sWu4OACeNKUq wDu4znbUc1isWOuGsHSN0DA= =cWZr -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

IIANM, it updated both because you already had BOTH installed, and these are updates to your installed packages. -- Joe Morris New Tribes Mission Email Address: Joe_Morris@ntm.org Web Address: http://www.mydestiny.net/~joe_morris Registered Linux user 231871 God said, I AM that I AM.
