I don't know that there are plans for a DVD iso. However, you can download all 5 isos and make a DVD, I believe. There has been discussion about this topic on the list, and you can scan for the topic in the archives here - http://lists.opensuse.org/archive/ Also a Torrent for it would be nice? Looking through, it seems pretty easy. My torrent finishes sometime
late tomorrow. But my guess is that it'd be easier (and less
duplication of effort) to have the opensuse build team add a few lines
at most to make the dvd also for the next build.
Oh, and I meant a torrent for the DVD, already got the CD starting...
thanks,
evan

My personal experience is that FTP downloads are about 5 to 10 times faster then a torrent.

I can understand they are not that happy doing do for the beta versions, because they change every week and a DVD with the same amount as the CD's would be a bit of an overkill. What would be nice if somebody would write a script that turns the 5 CD's in one DVD. That script could be added to the tools. houghi -- All I ask is a chance to prove that money can't make me happy.

How can 5CD's be excessive and 1 DVD not?
Also a Torrent for it would be nice?
As somebody already pointed out, that does exist. houghi -- Help fight continental drift.

we had lots of trouble in the past with DVD isos, so we want to avoid that for now. (mirrors did reject it, users where not able to download them correctly and so on). And we want to keep the incoming traffic for our mirrors low, because it is already a problem for them to stay in sync. bye adrian -- Adrian Schroeter SuSE AG, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nuernberg, Germany email: adrian@suse.de

I am almost done testing my script that makes a dvd ISO from the CD's. That way people who want a CD can make their own. Will be posting my script very soon. houghi -- How much does it cost to entice a dope-smoking UNIX system guru to Dayton? -- Brian Boyle, UNIX/WORLD's First Annual Salary Survey
