I remember someone saying that there was a problem mounting zip drives under 6.3. Something about always showing the directory structure from the previous disk. Did that get fixed and if so, how? I never noticed a problem mounting zips, and I use them a good deal of the time. No directory structures from the previous disk or anything! Mind you, i'm not running a newfangled kind of Zip..just "starboard" and parport! 8) Alpha -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

i got a iomega zip plus 100 running on the iomega zipzoom scsi card which is actually an adaptec 1503E card all i do is modprobe the scsi card and the zip drive gets detected and then i do the mount command for it and it works fine i use the vfat so i can just drop them in out of the package and use them right away.... my mount point is /zip... my zip drive is my best friend in linux because they hold alot more than using it in winders and if i need to xfer something from winders to linux its more hassel free you could say... the only problem i ever had was modprobe doing the almighty segmentation fault on me once in awhile but that wasnt a severe problem...
