[opensuse] firefox 3 and kprinter
Hello: I know this issue was raised before but I could not find any solution either on this list or by googling. So the question is how I can set Firefox 3 to send print jobs to kprinter? In Firefox 2 there is a Postcsript/Default printer for which you can set a command in the Properties window. There is no such option in Firefox 3. Any idea? AFAIK, it is sent to the GTK printer selection dialog, aka gnome dialog. Even if you have kde :-p - -- Cheers, Carlos E. Yes, in spite of being a great app, Firefox looks horrid out of the box, which is attribuatble to the GTK styling and choice of non-functional File Open/Save and Print dialogs. I've gotten around the print dialog, and suffer with it, but the rest has been changed by a few add-ons. Here's my result (also attached): http://www.perfectreign.com/stuff/2008/20081208_firefox_kde_integration.png HTH!

I agree, using the KDE L&F is a HUGE improvement over the blah drain-on-the-eyes that the standard L&F has. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

System widely (openSUSE 10.3) I have 'official' opensuse firefox 2 installed. Before I replace it with firefox 3 I want to be sure that I can adjust it to my needs. I have created a test account and installed firefox 3 (mozilla version) in the home dir of this test user (by unpacking the package in the home folder). So far it seems I can not solve this print problem, I don't know how I could have firefox show me a print command line that I could adjust. As for the ui.allow_platform_file_picker option: firefox 3 does not obey this option. Maybe because the version I am testing is not the suse packed version. Anyway, If you find some information, please send me a note.
