[opensuse] Installing vmware server under 10.3
All, I'm trying to follow http://en.opensuse.org/Setting_up_VMware_on_SUSE_Linux It is not a perfect match with what I'm trying to do: 10.3 (64-bit) vmware server (1.0.4) http://register.vmware.com/content/download.html I installed the pre-reqs called for including the kernel source. Then the downloaded vmware server rpm. Next when I try to run ./runme.pl I get an error about "include/version.h" being missing and that perhaps I need to compile the kernel before continueing. Seems like a big step to be missing, so I'm hoping for some guidance. Ignore this.
I rebooted because of a YOU update request and now ./runme.pl is
proceeding normally. Maybe it was a conflict between a YOU update I
was doing and trying to install vmware simultaneously.
Sorry for the noise, Greg
