[opensuse] No wlan interface in yast/firewall
Have searched and can't find anything... Have a PC using an xmicro Wlan adaptor that works fine, except for allowing services through the firewall. The interface doesn't appear either in the network setup in yast or in the firewall interface section, and I therefore can't get Samba or Mediatomb through the firewall. How can I allow this? (I'm sure this is obvious...) Thanks, John. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

It depends whether you use NetworkManager but this should work anyway: Unassigned interfaces are automatically assigned to External zone by default, so it should be enough to run YaST Firewall and open services and/or ports in the External zone. Restart the firewall and you'll see :) I'd also recommend testing with a single-port service (such as sshd) first.
