[opensuse] A question about MARBLE VIRTUAL GLOBE
Until several weeks ago (give or take - you know....) whenever I started Marble Virtual Globe it would automatically acquire the latest satellite imagery which, of course, would show, for example, where any hurricanes/typhoons/cyclones were.
Should be fixed now - the clouds should get updated within the next 3 hours again. If the problem should persist (or occur again) or if you have other wishes please send us an e-mail to marble-devel@kde.org . Thanks for reporting & enjoy Marble :-) Best Regards, Torsten Rahn Marble Team -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Thank you for the quick repair job :-) . I have saved the mailing address should I strike another problem at some later time. But, while I here :-) , as you would know there is great interest in global warming and, especially at this time, about the El Nino. Is it at least possible to include sea temperature into one of the global maps? Hi Basil, This maybe OOT (to Marble), but take a look at http://atlas.pdc.org it maybe can fulfil your request regarding sea temperature layer. Just select the layer you want to show in the map. You can also select which map is suite you need for background map layer. I worked to provide some CAP (Common Alert Protocol) in Indonesia for this Pacific Disaster Center in the past. Interesting. Out of curiosity, I tried to open that page, but it simply doesn't. It stays at 50% of "loading hazards". Does it require me to be in the Pacific? I'm on Europe. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 13.1 x86_64 "Bottle" at Telcontar)

Thanks you for this. I have opened this map but have yet to work out what it all means and to see that 'map' about sea temperature layer. I am sure that I will be able to work it out real soon :-) .
