Is there a control panel or other way to do rpms in SuSE.. The guiier the better. I need to get netscape communicator off of my cheapbyted cd into suse.

I guess there's a X-based front end to rpm, but I haven't used it. If you want to just install an rpm, open up an xterm and cd to whereever the rpm is and type rpm -ivh filename.rpm, where the -ivh means install, verbose, display # signs as a progress indicator. Pretty straightfoward. However, I have a question that I posted earlier which was never answered: are redhat rpms and suse rpms compatible? Luck and thanks Mark -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
