How do I create a shortcut to website on Desktop that invokes Firefox? When I right-click and create a "Link to Location (url) on desktop, Konqueror is invoked when I click it.

Do you want to keep konqueror as the default browser and only that particular link open in firefox, or do you want to change the default for everything to firefox? If you only want that particular link to open in firefox, make it a link to application instead, and make it run firefox <url you want to load> If you want to change the general default for everythine, go to KDE's control centre->KDE Components->Component Chooser->Web browser, and change it to "Open http and https URLs in the following browser" and put "firefox" in the text box

I chose the second option - thanks for quick response!
