Hello all and happy new year! If you remember (if not that's okay) a couple of weeks ago I posted a problem with wvdial/pppd. I followed the suggestions about the resolve.cof and everything. Now I can get wvdial to work and keep a connection when run as root, but when run as a user (which I might add, has access to the modem and is part of the dial up group) it connects and pppd starts, a few seconds later pppd dies with error 16 (Modem hangup according to man pppd). Any ideas? As I said, if I run wvdial as root the connection is okay and doesn't die.
