I am trying to install SciTech Display Doctor (see LJ of Jan 99) because I have a Legend QDI 8Mb video card with the Intel 740 chip and the above driver supports it. I downloaded the tar.gz file and followed the instructions. However, althought the card is supported and detected the server refuses to start. There is an error message ( erno: 111 ) ! Is there anyone who tried this Scitech server in SuSE 5.3 and can help me ? Any ideas are very welcomed. ( The LJ article reviews only for a Red Hat distro.)
