Just an FYI to the group: One of my boxes is an I5-650 on an H55H-I mini-itx mobo. Originally I installed Win 7 and opensuse 12.1 and, since I primarily boot to linux I never used Win7 much. However, this box was always unstable; it would occasionally freeze, requiring a power cycle to get it running again. After my main system's mobo died I had to use the little box and the instability was unbearable, so just for grins I booted Win7 and it ran without any issues. I then installed OS13.1 as a fresh install and the freezing continued. I then had some free time so I turned on the updates and afterward, no more seizures. Whatever it was is gone. No, logs didn't help. When it froze, it just sat there with a freeze-framed video and input devices totally unresponsive. So, thanks to whichever developer fixed it. If I knew who it was I would send a coupon for a pint or two... or liter, whichever.
