Hi. I have SuSE 9.0 installed and have some troubles with OpenOffice 1.1. 1) I use KDE. The interface font is set to Tahoma. GTK2 apps (XChat) also use Tahoma, GTK1 (XMMS) too. But in OOo only russian symbols (i.e. russian filenames) are displayed with Tahoma, menus and dialogues use some other font (not even TrueType). Solved with Tools > Options > Accessibility > Use system font for user interface. 2) The most important. In the document symbols look "condensed" - for example one letter is displayed over another (in the attachment this is illustrated). This document was created with SuSE 8.2 OOo 1.0.2. If I select any block of text and set the font to the same one, it is displayed correctly (but not always and I can't understand when it works and when doesn't). With the new documents created with SuSE 9 OOo 1.1 everything is fine. How can I solve this problem? Here is some additional info on my configuration: -- freetype recompiled - bytecode interpreter ON, -- freetype2 recompiled - bytecode interpreter ON, -- the directory /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/truetype is added to OO via 'OO Printer administration', -- in OO fonts replacement table is set to OFF Alex Khroustalev
