Have retrieved beta9 from mirror.switch.ch and am seeding bittorrent to the tune of 65kb/s. That's probably about the payload max on my 640kbit/s ADSL upstream. /Per Jessen, Zürich

I am seeding at 27K, wich is the max I can do. I forgot where I got it from. download.opensuse.org most likely. houghi -- Nutze die Zeit. I'm seeding everything from SL-OSS-current from two locations with 500K/s and 1500K/s :-) I tried ktorrent yesterday, but I could not get that nice statistics any more. But I still could see, that there were just two seeds for PPC - my machines. I would still suggest creating a torrent net by those, who have access to high bandwidth machines. The peaks seem to be around at weekends, so if you just seed one of the architectures during the weekend by leaving your machine turned on, is already a big help. Bye, -- CzP http://peter.czanik.hu/

PPC is perhaps not the most popular architecture to run SUSE on?

I left torrent to seed beta8-i386 for two weeks - it seemed to be running at a steady pace of 30kb/s most of the time. I'm seeding beta9-i386 since yesterday. /Per Jessen, Zürich

Probably not the most popular. But there were a lot of downloads, and still nobody else seeds it. BTW: I had about 50000 downloads from my PPC Packman compilation for 10.0, so there must be some people using it :-)

That's very good news, not many people are doing it. But still some high bandwidth machines would be useful too, I seed more in a second, than you in a minute. I just started seeding on a third machine... Bye, -- CzP http://peter.czanik.hu/

What I, and I assume many others would find useful, would be a torrent of the DVD if anyone already has one created. Maybe for RC1? Sander
