Hello all. Hooking up with the prevously sent question: The problem wan't the processor. I now compiled the kernel with pentium MMX option enabled. This wouldn't work either. The kernel still wasn't booting at all. I tried to boot the kernel on LO speed (de-turbo), and this seems to work. We came a little further. It was doing all sorts of thing, but suddenly a message came up. It sayed Requere TSC feature. This is a Time Stamp Counter I figured out, but how to enable it. When I use 586, there apears extra options in the .config file, with tsc in the line. I know almost sure I use the Wincip C6 stepping 1 from centaur. Even during booting the kernel this appears to be treu (message) Can anybosy give me a cleu Greedz Alex -- "There was an interesting development in the CBS-Westmoreland trial: both sides agreed that after the trial, Andy Rooney would be allowed to talk to the jury for three minutes about little things that annoyed him during the trial." -- David Letterman ------------------------------------- This Email is 100% Virus Free!
