Is there an easy way to back up my Kmail kaddressbook without using the "export" feature, which never seems to work that well for me. Is there a kaddressbook file somewhere I can copy over to a new installation? I'm not concerned about the mail, only the contacts. Thanks! You should always mention which version of SuSE/KDE you're running. File locations differ. This is for KDE3 in 8.0/8.1 Look in $HOME/.kde/share/apps/kabc and back up the files in there, and $HOME/.kde.share/config/kaddressbookrc Anders

Anders, yes, you are quite correct. My apologies -- I'll be more clear next time! :-)

Yes, I am running KDE3 in SuSE 8.1.

That is wonderful! Many thanks, Anders! Regards, Charles __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Y! Web Hosting - Let the expert host your web site http://webhosting.yahoo.com/
