Has anyone here used or heard of anyone using Java for controlling a GPIB card on a Linux box, or any other OS for that matter? I spent a lot of time searching the net, but haven't found anything. I realize that in such an application there has to be some native code that Java calls to access the hardware. I know that a lot of people are using Perl as a cross-platform language for controlling GPIB.
