How does one get it back after clicking on the X button.
It's a widget like any other widget... Unlock the widgets - right click on the desktop and select Unlock Widgets Add the widget - right click on the desktop again, and select Add Widgets Find "Folder View" in the list of available widgets and click on it. Click the Add Widget button. Configure the Folder View to show the view you prefer - one way is to right click anywhere in the Folder View widget and select Folder View Settings. Don't forget to lock your Widgets again by right clicking on the desktop and selecting Lock Widgets. Thanks C. There sure is a lot to re-learn about kde4. Regards Mark -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Like with most other desktops... the majority of things in KDE4 are not all that hard to discover. Pretty much everything is found either by right clicking and looking in the context menu that pops up (of course right clicking on the logical place helps.. for example you want to change something on your desktop.. you right click on the desktop). or by poking in the Configure Desktop window. As few things are still scattered, but they are few and far between now. Fundamentally/conceptually... although it looks a little different, most bits are really not that far off from KDE3.
