rkhunter-1.1.4-1.cjo.noarch.rpm available
An update to rkhunter (1.1.4-1) is available. Includes added boot.local test for SuSE 9.x (noarch, should work on lessor vers). http://wahoo.no-ip.org/~pat/rkhunter-1.1.4-2.cjo.ps.noarch.rpm -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/photos

Doesn't recognize SuSE 9.1 (x86_64) as a known OS so it won't do the md5 hash checks. Anyone know where to get that data so the rkhunter db could be updated to recognize the 64 bit version? I have forwarded this to the author. He is very interested and responds quickly. We should have an answer soon. If he responds directly to me, I will relay here. -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/photos

Actually, he responds remarkably fast! I dropped him a note on his web form, within 20 minutes he gave me an answer. Apparently, there are scripts that can produce the needed md5 hash data, the big gotcha is that the scripts must be run first on a cleanly installed unpatched system, then patch the system and run them again. As you can guess, mine is not a clean unpatched install <g>. I'll have to wait until either I myself have a clean one (next release) or someone else does the work while they are loading a fresh 64 bit install. Thanks for your follow-up, appreciate it!
