[opensuse] Soft links for samba shares
I use the Samba server to share some of my folders through soft links. However, I have noticed that I am not able to do the same for files, and I always need o copy the file to the shared folder. Could someone explain the reason for that? -- Bogdan Cristea software engineer Sytron Technologies Overseas www.sytron.ro -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

IIRC, I think there is an option in smb.conf as to whether links should be followed. I would imagine it is best to set it per share, as globally following links may not be the best idea. I hope I am not confusing this with Apache. But I do think there is a SAMBA config item for this.
