I seem to remember some such warnings from when I last used lilo. I don't think they're a problem. The BIOS CHS geometries were designed for small disks and had to return false descriptions of the disk geometry to get them to accept bigger disks. I had one older BIOS that I had to force a false description on to get to accept the disk. IIRC there is an option (iw or nowarn) in lilo that turns the warnings off. Alternatively, you could try grub - it's easier.
Afraid to turn my machine off. Should I be concerned ? And what do I do about it. Running 9.2 with an x86-64 processor.
