This is mine and sound works: ~> cat /proc/asound/card0/oss_mixer VOLUME "Master" 0 BASS "" 0 TREBLE "" 0 SYNTH "" 0 PCM "PCM" 0 SPEAKER "PC Speaker" 0 LINE "Line" 0 MIC "Mic" 0 CD "CD" 0 IMIX "" 0 ALTPCM "Headphone" 0 RECLEV "" 0 IGAIN "Capture" 0 OGAIN "" 0 LINE1 "Aux" 0 LINE2 "" 0 LINE3 "" 0 DIGITAL1 "IEC958" 0 DIGITAL2 "" 0 DIGITAL3 "" 0 PHONEIN "Phone" 0 PHONEOUT "Master Mono" 0 VIDEO "Video" 0 RADIO "" 0 MONITOR "" 0 Remove/disable PulseAudio and see if that helps. I had no big problems as some reported, but removing it would not hurt. I just did it and sound is at it should be. -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I had problems with sound also but resolved all the issues when I installed KDE 3.5. There appears to be issues on how Kmixer interfaces under KDE 4.1 If your running KDE 4.1 and can't resolve the sound, then turning back the clock to 3.5 may be your answer also. -- Thank you, Michael.A.Sterba -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

It could be. Though, right after I sent mail, I came on idea to log in KDE4 and check. No login system sound, but YouTube works fine. Besides, after watching for quite some time now, there was no single glitch in a video or audio, that I had before. I discarded those occassionall problems to slow hardware, but now I'm not sure it was hardware. -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Did you tried to play with KMix? I remember that not all sliders/switches were in the mixer window first time. So I got to open mixer window and go to the Settings > Configure Channels to include them. It was about IEC958 Playback. -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
