I'm trying to print an email out of kmail and keep getting an error that the process was unable to contact the kde print server KDEPRINTD. Check that this server is running. Huh? How many print servers does one need? There's CUPS and that ought to be the end of it. Moreover, I can't find any such entity (kdeprintd) as a file on my system. Kmail is the only program giving me this problem. Anyone have an idea what the problem is? SuSE 9.3 pro

Look again, using "pin". It is part of "kdelibs3-3.4.0-20.i586.rpm". As to your problem, I dunno. -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson

I find lots of references to kdeprintd.xx.xx or such, but I didn't see a program called kdeprintd. Matters not.. a reboot solved the problem. (gee, just like winders)
