Hmmm.... That's strange. We use Compaq Evo Workstations all the time and never had a problem with the network adapter. The e100 module should just work fine! So are you sure the card is not detected in anyway? What messages do you get when you do a 'modprobe e100'? regards Harry

I tryed to install SuSE 7.3 on a Compaq Evo Workstation.
From specifications, this machine has a INTEL PRO 100 UM Network Card on board.
After some minor installation problems, SuSE 7.3 was finally running, but no card was detected.
I tryed using different modules (from yast, yast2, by hand), but none is working, not even the eepro100 (that is supposed to be the right one)
The card is not detected by any way.
I am including results from lspci -v and lspci -vv, which show that apparently the card is detected by the hardware and bios.
any ideas?
