After you install a card in the reader, run "fdisk -l" in a console window (you may need to be root). If the reader is recognized then you will see an entry similar to /dev/sd???, that will be the memory card. I bought my notebook from Powernotebooks.com and the card reader worked after install, although I have only tried it with SD cards so far. -- Hugh mailto: hrtlist@cpia.jhu.edu Felipe Leon wrote:
I got a new laptop and installed 9 on it. Everything went very smoothly and most of the hardware is recognized and operates fine. The only thing I haven't been able to activate is this card reader. Is there any linux driver for this type of readers? has anybody experience with these in laptops? My laptop is from a "not known brand" so I don't know how successful I will be with this. Thanks for any help,
Felipe.
